Last week on Sleepy Hollow we learned a couple important things. The first of which is Ichabod will not remain in modern attire anytime soon, and the second is that things may not be as secret as this blogger would like. Well we thankfully didn’t have to wait long for answers in Sleepy Hollow’s last episode of the year (sorry that this blog post got pushed to the back burner by the way… holidays and all), though we did end up with a few questions.

Sorry that this is coming so late but I’m determined to get this blog down before watching tonight’s episode of Sleepy Hollow, so let’s get into the recap/review!
Here’s probably the biggest takeaway from last week’s ep, Ichabod’s a dad! Or was a dad, because 200+ years ago Katrina had a son that he never knew about. Unless we find out other information Katrina must have been pregnant before Ichabod’s death. Also, Katrina and Ichabod’s son was delivered by an ancestor of Abbie’s bringing the notion of destiny back into the picture. Continue reading “Six Degrees of Sleepy Hollow, S1e9” »
So this past Monday’s Sleepy Hollow was a lot of fun for a few reasons (though I already miss John Noble), so let’s get into it.
Sleepy Hollow, Season 1 Episode 7: The Midnight Ride
Before I get into the good stuff I’ll lodge one complaint (and it’s a tiny, picky one that in no way reflects my overall enjoyment of the show). I’m fine with the show taking liberties with history and religion, BUT I guess I dislike when they inject real history with the reimaginings if that makes any sense at all. I guess deep down I’m concerned that to some degree some viewers may not be able to separate fact from fiction. Continue reading “Another History Lesson, Sleepy Hollow S1e7” »
So this past week’s Sleepy Hollow was somewhat underwhelming. Why you ask? Well, despite having John Noble, which was most certainly the best part (no offense to Tom Mison or Nicole Beharie, but FRINGE was awesome and so is John Noble). Where was I? Well, why don’t I start with everything that was great about the episode before getting to the “meh” of it.
Let’s begin with the baseball game as we got to witness Ichabod learning to enjoy the free speech he fought for, shouting at the umpire. It was one of those moments why I watch the show, to see this man out of time experiencing the 21st century. Continue reading “Not the End of the World, Sleepy Hollow S1e6” »
So last night’s Sleepy Hollow, did not bring the sister relationship I was looking forward to, but instead it took us to new places and new possibilities, it also brought us a few new questions! Continue reading “Sleepy Hollow, Seeing is Believing” »
So this past week we got another angle on the Sleepy Hollow tale, and I have to say while the episode had much more humanity than hocus pocus I was ok with this direction, since it served a purpose. I also liked the fact that we’re getting answers… but again my main concern is that we’re getting too many answers too soon, and the show will run out of steam by it’ already ordered season 2.
Sleepy Hollow Season 1 Episode 4: The Lesser Key of Soloman
The episode opened with a nice twist on the Boston Tea Party. Continue reading “Of Monsters and Men Sleepy Hollow S1e4” »
