This week I FINALLY got around to seeing The Accountant, which is surprising by itself, considering my taste in movies typically ranges from Wes Anderson, to Tarantino, or anything MARVEL and Disney put out. So, thrillers or action films (unless someone’s in a cape) don’t usually make my list. Additionally, having heard that it was about an individual with autism, I was apprehensive about stereotyping. The Accountant however is the first film in a while that surpassed my expectations. It’s a movie I recommend to nerds and non-nerds alike (not to mention, as a special ed. teacher I would also recommend it to other teachers and parents).
So last weekend Godzilla stomped his way to nearly the biggest box office weekend stopping only two million short of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And honestly, in terms of the quality of the films, it seems to makes sense, since for this viewer at least, Godzilla has been the second best movie of the Summer. I guess technically Winter Soldier was still during the Spring, but yeah, I stand by my ranking, and I’ll explain without spoilers below. Continue reading “Leaping Lizards! This past THORS-day I had the chance to see Thor: The Dark World a little sooner than others (though not sooner than a friend in Korea, so excuse me while I ask why did South Korea get it first??? No offense to South Korea by the way).
